I was puzzling over the latest Why Stumbit node just now, because I was sure it was referenced in a FAQ somewhere. And it is, although what I was trying to look for was actually written by turnstep.

Be that as it may, I typed FAQ into the search textbox, and got back some useless node by an anonymonk at this node: 15950. I can't for the life of me figure out what purpose it serves. I suggest it deserves to be reaped, but it can't be considered. It looks really weird, like some piece of Everything driftwood that washed up on shore.

Same counts for help which finds some anonymonk posting plus one by yabba but not really the help for The Monastery.

Maybe all generic names should point to important nodes (which somehow remembers me of many recent court room happenings, but in this case the owners of the nodes won't have to pay the attourneys/lawyers bill). And maybe the use of a generic title for new nodes should be checked and changed?
What other generic names could you think of? Is this a topic at all?

    Regards... Stefan
you begin bashing the string with a +42 regexp of confusion

I think FAQ and help just about cover it. I've added those two help nodes to the list of nodes to be considered, thanks for pointing them out.

I can't think on any other obvious terms. (FAQs gets you into the thick of things pretty quickly).

A much better solution would be if everyone would use a intelligent title for his posts like "PM is slow on a 14.4 modem" instead of "HELP", but I think that's written down in the manual ;-)
