PLP was made because I didn't like the syntax of the existing web Perl embedders.

FYI next version of HTML::Mason which is under development now supports different parsers for its components. So it is possible to tune syntax for your requirements if you are not satisfied with default syntax. You can get development version from CVS. -- Ilya Martynov (http://martynov.org/)	[reply]
