Sorry, I suppose this assumes some familiarity
with the Ameircan school system. Traditionally
when someone is misbehaving in class their name
gets put on the blackboard. Sometimes a few
ticks are added for additoinal offenses
eventually resulting in being sent to the
principal's office.
It was the only thing I could think of to
counter reception of a gold-star. Which I might
as well explain just in case. Often
Kindergarten and first grade teachers will
award well-behaved students with stickers.
Sometimes they keep a bar chart of the class,
and students might have silver or gold stickers
added to their bar.
UPDATE: Thought this might be relevant :-D
