Here is a very short summary of the first day at the German Perl Workshop 4:

Eight o'clock in the morning somewhere in Germany.
Registration for the fourth German Perl Workshop just opened.
Folks are slowly flowing in.

Nine o'clock. The first tutorial starts.
I choose 'Codegenerierung mit Perl' (Generating Code with Perl) by Michael Rachow.
Michael explained the use of jeeves (known from the panther book) showing examples of his work with it.
What I missed was an introductory tutorial on PerlTk by Mark Overmeer.

Thirteen thirty, just after lunch.
Welcome by the Dean of FH Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and some words from the organizers.

Just after this:
SelfGOL by TheDamian. Something you really wouldn't want to know about.

After that we really needed the break!

At 16 o'clock Gerald Richter held his 'mod_perl 2.0' talk from YAPC::Europe.
This time in German.

17 o'clock a short presentation by Jouke Visser about pVoice.

At 17:40 Gerald Richter gave a short intro to P5EE.

Last for the day was TheDamian's great talk about Lingua::Romana::Perligata.

After that we had a wonderful diner at Birlinghoven Castle which I left at about half past eleven in the night.

That's it for tonight, I have to rise early for another wonderful day at The German Perl Workshop.
