This seems to be a pretty good tutorial, thanks grep. Generally, I very much applaud such companies as IBM who do not shy away from technologies (such as Perl) that smell open source ;-).

Unfortunately, I had to write a few perl scripts to work with various Microsoft products (such as MS Access, for one), and I would certainly appreciate it if M$ considered writing a tutorial on how to use Perl most effectively for their technologies. Of course, they are not very interested, which leaves me with but a single option and that is to simply 'shut up'.
