      The Star Trek (TNG, and possibly VOY) ship's computer is female, at least if voice is any indication...

        So first you have to wait a few hundred years, and then do you think sexy models like them will be interesting in an archaic bit-twiddler?

        Besides which, the challenge was not to come up with something that complained more accurately than merlyn, it was just to find something non-human that complained more. :-)
