But the web interface has always seemed to be clunky and inefficient. If there is some interesting conversation going on and I want to follow it, I have to constantly refresh the page. And, on the rare occasions when I want to post (or msg someone), the little text input field just doesn't cut it. I usually type it somewhere else and copy it into the field. There is also the limit on the length of the text it can accept.
But, I see all these revered monks chatting merrily without these problems (at least I assume so), so they must not be using the clunky web interface. So, I searched for a better way and found a list of alternate clients on ZZamboni's home node. I didn't want anything graphical so I chose the Curses Chatterbox client. I used it for a while, but recently I found that it stopped working. It logs me in and I can get my XP etc, but it doesn't show any conversations, and /who says there are no users logged in.
So, I have two questions:
Thanks,
/prakash
