MS SQL Server: Limited datatypes?

I know this is getting OT, but how does MS SQL Server 2000 (or 7, for that matter) have limited datatypes?

My issue was with the lack of more date time datatypes out of the box. I know you can create your own datatypes. I must admit I didn't get indepth into MS SQL 2000, I am sure it is a wonderful product.	[reply]
