My feelings are that

Certain Font usage

is annoying and makes this site look a little like my first homepage.

Do I want to babysit you and hold your hand?
Not really. Do I want to take away all your options for expression away?
Not really.
Do I want to strip out HTML tags that might break old writeups?
Not really.
Should I write up suggested guidelines and enforce them in the future?
Probably....
Is it something I want to do today?
Not really...

While color in moderation doesn't necessarily annoy me personally I would avoid it because of the fact that someone may be using a different theme than you and this may not show up well on the new disco perl monks theme of tomorrow.

So my thoughts... while color isn't bad in moderation entire posts in it should be avoided especially if you decide not to close your <font> tags. Should you use a little bit of color.... maybe, maybe not since others using different themes from your own may not be able to easily read it. Should I see three lines with <H1> tags in a reply to someones post or anything other than a user-submitted tutorial? NO!!! Knock yourself out with Bolds and Italics but don't abuse it!!
