ExtUtils::MakeMaker you say ... i've read that page a couple of times and I keep going back ... anyway, the thing of interest to you is the MANIFEST, and especially, the ExtUtils::Manifest module. Basically, the MANIFEST file lists in it all the files that go into a distribution.
