After using "syntax highlighting" in vim while writing code this all seems so trivial. Am I the only one who prefers code to be entirely unique by color, based on syntax? However, since everyone is most likely going to have different display settings this brings up a good point. I can control my xterm and my colors much better in a closed environment so it makes more sense. Using color in moderation seems like the most reasonable solution.
