I would like to know what CPAN modules are uploaded daily (along with a README).

I tried to receive news.perl.org daily but I dont seem to be receiving anything.

So this is two questions: how do I get a list of CPAN uploads on a regular basis (preferably daily). and why isnt news.perl.org sending me the news on a daily basis after subscribing?

You can also read use.perl.org, a slashcode-based site for Perl news. They have a slashbox with recent CPAN uploads, and they periodically post the list of new or recently updated modules.

    --ZZamboni

That list is created when new news is created. Same script does them both.

There is a command-line program for searching CPAN, which has an -r option for listing PAUSE uploads from the last xx days.
    sean@strange:~$ spause -r 1 [1 .] U/UM/UMEMOTO/Socket6-0.07.tar.gz 2000-06-02 [2 .] S/SC/SCHOP/htpl-2.69.tar.gz 2000-06-01 [3 .] R/RB/RBS/IPC-Run-0.2.tar.gz 2000-06-01 [4 .] P/PF/PFRANCEUS/LSF-Base-0.03.tar.gz 2000-06-01 [5 .] P/PF/PFRANCEUS/LSF-Batch-0.03.tar.gz 2000-06-01 [6 .] S/SC/SCHOP/perl-mumps-1.06.tar.gz 2000-06-01
This doesn't show you the readmes, but that shouldn't be hard to implement.

Because there isn't news sent out every day. You will get news regularly, but not daily. With a little resourcefulness you may have eventually come across http://search.cpan.org/recent or looked at the RECENT.html page which is on every CPAN mirror.
