satanklawz has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hey, a rather silly question- anyone seen a perl script run on a PocketPC WITHOUT Linux installed on it? I saw what elbie wrote, and agree completely- a better interface has to be made first before I'm tempted to install Linux again- However, I'd like to be able to run perl scripts on it in the PDA's native enviroment. I have seen perl for CE, but couldn't find where download it (just read about it/ports were 'in the making'). Anyone hear anything else?

You might want to check out PerlCE. I have yet to try it (my CE 2.0's battery is dead for now), but it seems fairly solid and real. Good luck.

After 2 hours of piddling with it- IT WORKS!

THANKS MUCH!! Now to add some modules :)

Not silly at all. What I'd REALLY like is Perl for my handspring...

Hell I'd like a PDA that didn't eat batteries, but I'd like to win the lotto too :)
