in thread "New" Super Search" minimum of 4 letters

To be fair to the Anonymous Monk I did a couple searches on the topic and couldn't find any related nodes. I knew I had seen one before so I went back a couple pages through Perl Monks Discussion and finally found Bring Back the Old Supersearch

As for the 4 letter minimum, if you combine the term (say XML) with another term it will still search for it right? So if I search for 'XML Perl' it will find nodes with either XML or Perl in the title, correct? I would try this myself but super search doesn't seem to be responding whenever I've tried it out (the main page search is fine though).

I also like your suggestion for using logic in the searches. I'm not sure how much this would affect performance though.

There was a rash of nodes when it happened, I will try to post them here later. (UPDATE, here's one; Bring Back the Old Supersearch)

I do not believe searching for XML and Perl would work, because words of less than 4 char's simply are not indexed. Unless you mean with the quotes, in which case it has been my impression that super search is does heed phrases like that.
