Process Termination

Is the process running something you wrote, or some system utility? Commonly, `kill INT, $pid;` will terminate the child, but that depends on the `$SIG{INT}` handler ( and you must wait or handle `$SIG{CHLD}` in the parent, too). Can you be more specific? How are you launching the process in question? Are you using fork()? If so, take a look at kill(). --perlplexer	[reply]
