Hi,

I've seen in some sites the current statistics of guests and members of the site displayed on a web page (usually the main page). For examle, Guests: 4, Members 2. How are such instant statistics generated? Where can I find a simple example?

See perlfaq5, under the section "How can I lock a file?". It will also tell you why web counters are useless.
