i'm a newbie here (to Perl Monks and to Perl)... this genuinely seems like a helpful community... now i was just wondering why my questions/answers had a 'reputation: 0' attached to them...

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

    Welcome to Perl Monks :).

A post's rep is equal to the number of upvotes minus the downvotes it has received. See the voting/experience system for more details.

turnstep's homenode has a lot of useful information on it as well.

ooh... thanks! i did read the 1st link but the 2nd one explains more... maybe there could be a link from the 1st one to the 2nd... just a suggestion...

imho, the 'reputation: 0' thing led me to think that my post was of dubious character heh :P

Look like you now have at least one node with a higher rep than 0.
