Cody Pendant has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
The ones that are installed work just fine, and I've never needed to install a new one yet.
Now I'd like to experiment with PerlTidy.
The documentation says, at http://perltidy.sourceforge.net/INSTALL.html#mac%20installation%20notes -- "The normal installation process (just dropping the .tgz file on a distribution-provided "installme" script) should work."
I have no idea what this means, frankly.
I've got as far as downloading a version of PerlTidy, changing the linebreaks, and running Makefile.PL.
I get the following output:
Checking if your kit is complete... Looks good # On MacOS, we need to build under the Perl source directory or have t +he MacPerl SDK installed in the MacPerl folder.
Which leaves me baffled.
Any help gratefully received.
