    Frankly, your question doesn't make sense. What table header are you talking about? It's typical that if you have a plain text file, and you want to read line 800, you have to go there. That's because it's a plain text file. But plain text files don't have tables, let alone table headers.

    Try rephrasing your question in the context of Perl.

    If you have a text file of 800 lines with a header that makes up the top three lines -- and you want to paginate the 800 line file so that the header appears every n lines, we can help you with that.

    You haven't given us enough to work with -- which would explain the negative position of your post. Reply with more information and we can offer you alternatives.
