The Seekers of Perl Wisdom page appears to be broken. inblosam mentioned in the CB this morning (GMT) that he couldn't find the form for adding a new node. Several of us checked it on various browsers (IE, Mozilla, Opera, NS 4), and nobody saw it correctly. Predictably, Netscape 4 is the worst affected - on that browser no nodes appear, nothing except the banner "Seekers of Perl Wisdom" and the top line of links to other sections.

I think it may be related to the formatting in the last node on that page, im bot text responses, but don't really know.

Maybe we've hit the new node quota early this week. :-)

Try Dog and Pony's nifty link for an alternative Seekers of Perl Wisdom node entry form until the page is repaired.

I have the same problem, in IE and Opera so far.

In the mean time, you can "cheat" via this link to get to an empty preview page, and post to SOPW.

You have moved into a dark place.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I remember this happening before, and I posted this node. I can remember the circumstances being due to a node with missing code tags. This allowed some HTML tags in the code to influence layout of the page.

That time, it was quite easy to spot and consider the offending node. However, I remember that this was a weekend and there were no editors in the house - leaving SoPW broken for several hours with nobody able to post.

I wonder, is there anything we can do to improve the robustness of the surrounding Everything page. Or failing this, introduce html checking as per my original suggestion.
