Hey Monks! I've been asked by a non-programmer why I liked Perl so much and what were the advantages of using it over other languages. I had a bit of trouble answering his second question.
I love perl the language because I think it tends to be very natural and efficient (most of the time) but as far as the end product, what advantages does perl have over a technology such as Java Servlets which is supposedly better equipped to handle a high-volume of requests? How does mod-perl measure up to servlets?
