I just want to give a big, hearty thanks to my fellow Monks.

A short time ago, I was pulling my hair out working on a Perl project with a tight deadline. I was having trouble quickly finding answers to some questions when my friend little_mistress suggested I try perlmonks. I came here and looked around, asked some questions, and was absolutely floored at how helpful and knowledgable everyone was.

Thanks to my fellow monks, the first phase of my project is working smoothly and my users (a bunch of computer-illiterate teachers) started using my software today to enter data over the Web and everything is going very well.

In particular, I'd like to thank jcwren, btrott, and lhoward for great advice that helped me out of tight spots.

Sorry if this post sounds too gushy (and don't vote for it because I'm not doing this to troll for XP). I am just so utterly relieved that I got this work done by the deadline that I just had to let you know.

Thanks everyone!!!

How ironic that this is one of my more highly rated posts, despite my asking people not to vote for it. :)

Ovid boggles at his inadvertant use of reverse psychology.

Just wanted you to know, I voted your post positive. Largely because you weren't looking for XP.
