Describe "gobbledy gook," and post the code that you're using to read the cookies. Also indicate whether you've been able to run your code elsewhere without getting gobbledy gook.

Prohosting are probably using the cookies to store banner ids and things like that - have you another a/c anywhere else you can test.
        Thanks,
That actually makes sense Baz, and no I dont have another account, what might I do?

Most sites encrypt their cookies, trying to deny unauthorized access. If the cookies are encrypted, there is not much you can do.

BTW, is this a CGI problem or a client problem (are you in the browser side or server side) ?

I've discovered that if you pay to have the add banners removed from your site (on prohosting) the cookies will work. Is there any other site which offer CGI and dont force you to pay im a poor student u c ;(
It server side, I can retreive the data from the cookie but its not what im writing. I examined it anyway and it contains a string which is also common to the ad banner which pops up. I've already worked on tripod but they have cookies disabled - I dont know what to do now; quit perl and start watch more TV perhaps :)

Since you didn't specify if you are talking about ProHosting.com or Free.ProHosting.com, I will assume Free.ProHosting.com. Besides, if you had a problem with ProHosting.com, you could ask them for assistance.

Have you tried reading the Unoffical free.prohosting.com FAQ?
I haven't but then I'm not the one with the problem. ;)
