While the article is talking about an almost totally different topic, i'm just going to give a quick response. Namely, theres two sides to every flame war. Theres never just one person. Ex. Person A calls Person B a 'fuckhead'(what is that anyways?). Person B responds verbally the quits the team in a huff. Whose fault is it? Further more, we have an obligation to respect our teamates, we do not have an obligation to flatter and stroke their egos.

    I'd agree that something like "over-sensitivity" is a fault, and if it breaks up a team or a community, then it's just as bad as more obviously obnoxious behaviors.

    All the same, I'm not sure how calling someone "sucka!" does a good job of, in your words, 'respecting our teammates.' It just seems like a childish impulse that someone thought clever or gratifying in some way. It's not the end of the world -- not even close -- but it's nothing to be defended, either.
