To add some education, the word algorithm (as I always spell it) comes from the cover of the latin translation of a (lost) book of Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Musa Al-Khwarizmi called "Algoritmi de numero Indorum", at least according to this random page of internet knowledge. It dosen't seem to have much to do with the greek word rhytmos.
More on the man can be found on the internet - I'll dig up some book references real soon now ...

The only thing lamer than a spelling flame is one where the flamer doesn't actually know how to spell.
You don't have to believe me on this, go look up algorhythm and algorithm for yourself in a dictionary. Though if you prefer, I could spell it al-Khwarizmi. But appreciating that reference requires a perspective that you are unlikely to have.
Thanks for playing, but you lose. My impression of you just fell from probably a well-meaning but overenthusiastic novice to moron.
