Can the terminal used to send a signal to a process be found in perl?

niley has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

When sending a signal such as sighup to background perl prcoess, I wish to know what terminal the signal was sent from. Is this possible ?

No. signals are a minimalistic form of ipc. They don't carry any information about who raised them, and they don't inform the sender that they have been caught. After Compline, Zaxo	[reply]
