I've always had an interest in data and text mining. I've recently seen a lot of research on web mining. This is basically building bots to find information online. I was wondering what commercial applications are out there. I know of a few already including the obvious web indexers. Also there is a Job site that finds potential employers by running a bot that search corporate sites for job postings.
Any other applications you know of. How about the growth in blogs. Anyone doing market research by analyzing blog postings?
