The system I'm writing (a script/module combination) is going to be used on machines I don't control, so fixing the source isn't possible. If I could somehow use XS to provide myself with a subroutine that'd do it for me, my problem would be solved in a way that would work for the people who're going to be using it. -- Love justice; desire mercy.
