Usernames such as
Buckaroo Buddha are annoying, yes, in that it's difficult to msg them. But that's a minor annoyance; those who want to communicate with those people can and have found ways to do so.
vroom might solve the problem by allowing users to encapsulate user names in a /msg field, so that to send a message to
Buckaroo Buddha I might type /msg 'buckaroo buddha' into the text field. Even if he doesn't do that, it's only a minor problem; communications with him privately through the chatterbox are a MINOR PROBLEM. I can always ask him for an email address. And that minor problem only applies to him, in it being slightly more difficult for others to reach him, and to me and others who might wish to contact him.
Names like yours, on the other hand, are a problem for everyone, all the time. You stretch the user box out of proportion. You force scrolling on small screens. You're even MORE difficult to communicate with than Buckaroo Buddha because it's 45 characters to type into the message box. And these problems don't just affect you and whoever might want to contact you; it affects every single reader of this site.
