Today we had a user create an account called Buckaroo_Buddha this caused a conflict with Buckaroo Buddha when sending /msgs in the chatterbox.

So I fixed the glitch and got to use MySQL's REGEXP function for the first time

Since Buckaroo_Buddha has never logged in I just deleted his/her account. When he/she tries to recreate the account they'll be denied and have to choose another name.... damn is it fun to be the data police.

    I think it would be highly appropriate to (maybe after a 24 hour warning period) automatically convert all spaces in Monk names to underscores. Thereafter, no spaces should be allowed in names. This would not be an unfairly restrictive requirement. Actually, I feel that 22 characters is far too long for reasonable handles as well but it's better than crazy long stuff. I think 15 or 16 characters would be far more appropriate but it's an ultra small issue. So... How 'bout them Dodgers? TTFN.

    p.s. Is circumflex a synonym of tilde? or the other way around? Is synonym a wannabe palindrome of wassabe or does green hoarse stuff have nothing but nothing to do with anything?

        Actually, I was not even under the influence of any chemically induced state at the time of the aforementioned writing but you give good advice anyway. I will make an attempt. It may well be that sleep deprivation is the actual culprit of such symptoms and that has a simpler albeit more time consuming remedy. Tigger is bouncy! It's not time for a nap. Shabbat Shalom.
