hi monks i have a problem. i wrote a program for image upload and it only allows to restricted user for that i create a cookie on the basis of userid when user logon and it expiry time is set to 30 min but within the 30 minute if other user login i overwrite the cookie with the new userid but at the time of fetching the userid from the cookie it gives me the old userid for the first time and when refresh the same page then it is giving the correct userid i think it is cache problem can anybody help me out of it, thanx in advance

    This is a procedure that is used very often to authenticate users.

    And as always, Randal has a WebTechniqueon it.

    Please try to understand his code, and you are on the road again.

    Are you using Apache? Are you using global variables?

    Please post some code so that we can offer specific help.
