Thank you for the help.

I will have this setting verified tomorrow (the computer is not accessible to me). However, I believe this is the default setting and on my own Win2K machine, changing this setting does not change what the browser displays when I deliberately type syntax errors in my script.

In any case, it's worth a try on the machine that has the problem.

    One more thing. Do you use Win32::ASP;?

    If I try for example: 

    <%@ Language=PerlScript %>
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
... (some more HTML)

use Win32::ASP;
$x = 1 / 0;
%>

    [download]
    I get: 
    PerlScript Error error '80004005'

      Thank you Jenda for following up:

      WIN32::ASP looks like an interesting option.

      I wonder if WIN32::ASP is installed by default? At the moment, people who use my .ASP script need not install anything at all.

      In any case, I can certainly try this to help debug the problem.

        No, I don't think Win32::ASP is preinstalled. Even by ActivePerl.
