Given what you are doing, a good starting point would be to read Ovid's Web Programming with Perl online course (as mentioned earlier).

Never having read a Perl book yet (books don't fit with my way of learning very easily), I can't personnally recommend one. However, the question has been asked here many times before. I typed "book recommendation" into the search box top left, and it found these Book Recommendations - Solution to problem of time on hands, Book recommendation, newbie requests book recommendations: What Perl book to start with? amongst others.

You would probably get even more hits from using super search also at the top of the screen.

The are also many good tutorials that you could work through here Tutorials and some recommendations and further pointers on books here perlman:perlbook.

You could also ask the question in the CB, to get current opinions and clarifications of the best book given your current level of knowledge. Best do it during the US working week rather than at the weekend as it usually quite quiet around here at weekends.
