Hi guys!

anyone can spread a little light on the differences between Perl 5.8.0 and 5.6.0/1, or can at least redirect me to a doc or something. I tried using the search engine but found quite old articles and I'm not sure they valid anymore, they all were a little suspicious about 5.8.0, and recomended it especially if I use unicode.
It would be nice also to get somehow a list of API changes in order for me to make the necessary changes if I'll decide to upgragde to 5.8.0.

thanks

Hotshot

    1. For document, please read the perldelta comes with 5.8.0.
    2. My personal feeling, I like it, especially the threads part.

5.8.0 is the latest stable release. I believe one of the new things it has fixed is a bunch of security holes. You may check out cpan's website for more details regarding perl 5.8 http://www.cpan.org/src/
