I feel that the idea that you are adressing has some validity. I feel that new color schemes are not enough. Rather, I feel that the site needs a total makeover, with new graphics, setup, etc.

However, this is not very urgent and can be slowly worked on offline by someone and eventually, maybe this site can have a new look.
