Perl is again mentioned in the news (not because someone died). This time, it's "coding perl using voice recognition."

Why has Perl been associated with death and personal injury? We PerlMonks need to change Perl's bad reputation. </sarcasm>

    That's not news. That's satire. And it's satire about voice recognition. Perl is just there as a prop.

      I thought it was satire on the common complaint that Perl is just "line noise."

      I'm aware it's satire, hence "yet another bad perl joke."

      I found it to be funny, and thought that it would have been good to share. Perhaps it would have been better suited as a link in the CB.
