The system described in the paper has been running in a government aerospace lab (wind tunnel actually) for over a year. Netscape clients on NT and SGI, Apache server on SGI.

My described system was running in my office for less than two months. IE 4.0 clients on Windows 95 and 98, IIS server on Win NT 4.0 SP3. I guess there was a slight discrepancy in environments, heh? Update: I tried finding the article mentioned by our dear Anonymous Monk here, but came up with nothing.
