Perl Pages

This is not really a question about Perl, but is more of a question about how to learn Perl.

What magazines are there that I can subscribe to that deal with Perl and other languages, such as C and C++?

Everyone loves The Perl Journal, and Perl Month is also nice. For general programming, it's hard to beat Dr. Dobbs' Journal.	[reply]

It depends what you mean when you say you want to learn programming. Dr Dobbs journal is excellent but very advanced/weighty/in depth, I would not recommend it to someone who wanted to "learn" programming i.e. a novice. When you've learned the basics elsewhere then Dr Dobbs is an excellent place to continue. Just my Ł0.02 *Nuance*	[reply]

I like The Perl Journal particularly because it's handy having hardcopy sometimes. My only (really minor); complaint is that it's only quarterly.	[reply]

Honestly the best source is O'Reilly. They are no-fail. Check out their "Learning Perl" book. It is pure Gold. O'Reilly is infamous for their tech books. When they don't know a certain section they go straight to the source. The forward is by Larry "The Man" Wall for Learning PERL. It's about 30.00 dollars, and has a Camel on the front.
