i live in the central valley near modesto Ca. but im originally from san jose Ca. i go to the bay most of the time!

    If you wanna meet some local perl hackers, try joining a local Perl Monger group. It's always loads of fun to get together with a bunch of code-alikes and those meetings are usually pretty casual.

    Hey hey, you missed out on some free beer this past Saturday ;)(there was a gathering)

    Silicon Valley Perl Monguers -- basically covering the Santa Clara valley

    Of course, there is also the san jose http://perl.meetup.com.

    The next meetup is scheduled for Thursday, Jan 16 @ 7:00PM . I voted for Cicero's Pizza cause it's closest to me. Go sign up, and show up (i hope i can make it).

    There is also the san francisco perl monguers, but it's too far (same goes for sonoma perl monguers).
