I didn't post the flame in question, but I would like to note that not all Anonymous Monks have accounts on Perlmonks.

Doesn't excuse the flame though.

    But why not? It doesn't require much of anyting.. with a few exceptions, there's no reason to remain anonymous if you're going to stick around for any extended period of time.

    It's your choice to sign up or not to of course..

    Makeshifts last the longest.

      Unsecured computer access. If you're using public terminals (which could easily have keyloggers) it's better to post anonymously. That way you don't have to worry about accounts getting stolen and used to impersonate you.
