you might consider using, say, $/ = \32768; to read 32k chunks while printing the body - gets rid of the useless end-of-line scanning overhead.

    When I ran the original code verbatim in my qfilter, the log reported: Not enough arguments for main::link at /usr/local/spam/redir line 34, near ""$maildir/tmp/$tph";" Any thoughts on my mistake?
