Cheburashka has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

did anyone here have success generating executables from perl scripts on windows platform using codegen?

When I try percc myfile it compiles (after complaining about unknown machine:x86 directive) and produces ... an a.out file (for windows!) Am I doing something wrong?

I haven't used perlcc yet, but the docs suggest you should use something like perlcc -o myfile.exe myfile.pl to create a file called myfile.exe.
