in reply to Storing .tar.gz files on perlmonks.org?

Well, everything depends on how much space PerlMonks.org has. This is certainly a question that you should /msg to vroom also.

I guess that it would not be that difficult to add, and it is probably a good idea. It is, in fact the same kind of question that another Monk posted a week or two ago, about Perl projects: right now, there is no section on PerlMonks that really deals with Projects. There is the Code section, there are the Craft, Snippets and Code Catacombs sections, but none of them is really about projects.

Projects would bring a new source of knowledge to PerlMonks, IMHO, since designing a project requires special skills. So there could be Monks posting projects, Monks teaching the skills of designing a Perl project by writing a little tutorial, and of course the 3rd class of Monks would be formed by everybody: the students Monks.

Maybe that it would be worth considering, then. I can imagine first class discussion threads about designing projects, where several Saints would discuss a particular point/feature of a project... and everybody knows that one of the best teaching is too see the different approaches chosen by the different PerlMonks Saints to face a holy coding problem.
