Hello,
By day, I'm an OBD (on-board diagnostics) algorithm engineer with an automotive supplier. We design embedded software for engine and transmission control. I have used Perl on occasion as a pre-processor for ASAP2 source files, a sort of symbol table protocol for embedded system instrumentation.
By night and weekend, I run an auto parts manufacturing and retailing business, using FreeBSD, Apache and Perl to run our order system. I also have been known to host and provide support for web sites.
The rest of the time, I am a semi-professional musician in the classical and jazz idiom.
I have a BSEE from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (recently changed to Kettering University) in Flint, Michigan.
Happy Perl-ing!
Mark
