FileOp is good for mounting, but that is not what I really want to do. I just want to get a directories contents by using opendir(DIR, \\Server\path);

Again check your security and you might try your computer names at lowercase. I ran your do_wire and get_dir(without the grep) and saw files in two folders that were not shared.	[reply]

Thanks Marza... I have had this problem for a little over a month now, and I cannot figure why it would work on one box and not the other.... Hmmm.... The script runs as me, and I know I have access to these folders.... It is baffling. Next step might just be re-installing perl.... ~Hammy	[reply]
