While I agree with you, Russ, I think it's a matter that the author didn't make it clear that it was a runnable script. It wasn't clear to me when I first saw it, either.

For the record, this does run, and produces good output (even without -w and use strict; <G>)

Update:It works with use strict; just fine, but fails with -w. Still, it's tre' cool.

    if you couldn't tell it was code, that's about as obfuscated as you can get. He deserves a reward. Or a punishment, depending on which side of the fence you're on...
