Your right of course, I didn't think about the do EXPR; form at all.
If I do print do('fred')|| warn $!;
I get No such file or directory at ...
Examine what is said, not who speaks.
The 7th Rule of perl club is -- pearl clubs are easily damaged. Use a diamond club instead.
