I am an Associate Compter Pgmr/Analyst with the New York State Department of Civil Service. Have been in the field in one job or another since 1962 as a computer scheduler, operator, and pgmr/ana. Am currently operating in the unix/sun area. Tasks include security/firewall, unix admin., and perl pgming. These are all new areas to me so I stumble quite a bit. The real reason I stumble is my age and the hardening of my mind thus I need the help of young supple minds like the monks.
