Disable Javascript setting

I'm curious as to what the purpose of the "Disable Javascript on homenodes" user attribute is for. Checking it seems to have no effect when visiting homenodes with Javascript present.

Thanks for the links which were very informative. Along with Petruchio's homenode, Tachyon's also demonstrates a way around the user setting. -Nitrox	[reply]
