There is a standard apache configuration that can be loaded to monitor the load of the server. It must be set up in your httpd.conf, somewhat like the following. ExtendedStatus On <Location /server-status> SetHandler server-status Order deny,allow Deny from all Allow from all </Location> The extened status gives a cpu usage.
